Question: Will there be cylce lanes on Dundas

Answer
Councillor Elgar,

Tim Dennis asks me to update you on the provision of bicycle/multi-use path facilities on the 2 sections of Dundas Street that are currently under construction:

Generally, Dundas will be widened to 6 lanes with extra-wide (4.2m) curb lanes for shared use (like the curb lanes on Bronte Road from the QEW to Hwy 407). In addition, there will be off-road sidewalk/bicycle path combination (total width of 3.0m) on the south side of Dundas Street. A provision for the same arrangement is also made on the north side to be installed in the future with new developments. The 16 Mile Creek structures carry the 3.0m wide sidewalk/multi-use path on both the north and south sides.
